Washburn County woman sentenced for killing her dog

WASHBURN COUNTY (WQOW) - A woman convicted of killing her dog is sentenced in Washburn County.

Nicole Decoteau was convicted of kicking her small dog in the head, then failing to seek medical help for it. Investigators say she told them she had an argument with her boyfriend, and took it out on the dog. They say she also said she had anger issues.

Monday, Decoteau was ordered not to have any contact with domestic animals during three years of probation. She was sentenced to the two months she has already spent in jail.
