Caretaker faces felony charges of elder abuse on Milton man

MILTON (WKOW) -- Late Thursday morning, Milton police arrested a 35-year-old man on elder abuse charges.

Syren Bolderdene, of Chicago, was privately contracted to be a live-in caretaker for a 76-year-old Milton man.

Bolderdene requested Milton EMS May 21 after the elderly man reportedly fell and Bolderdene was unable to help get him upright.  The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries and other ailments which were the result of his living conditions.

The initial investigation reveals the victim has suffered suspicious fractures, bruising and scratches.  It is further believed the victim had been left in a soiled diaper and bedclothes for quite a period in excess of 24 hours.

Bolderdene was arrested on a felony charge of abuse to an individual at risk.  He was transported and is being held at the Rock County Jail.  He'll face a judge Friday.
