61-year-old Larry Clark was convicted of seven felonies, including first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse and identity theft.

FRIENDSHIP (WKOW) -- A man convicted of killing his mother in 2010, using her credit cards and hiding her body is due for sentencing in Adams County.

Larry Clark is scheduled to be in circuit court Friday afternoon for a sentencing hearing.  Sixty-one-year-old Clark shot his mother, Marcella Clark, in July 2010 and then took her body to some woods near their house in Big Flats.

According to a criminal complaint, after the death of his 79-year-old mother, Clark used her checking account and credit cards.

Clark testified during his trial and says he accidentally shot his mother at their house, passed out and woke to find her body.  He told investigators that he didn't report the death because he was more worried about training her puppy to survive if he went to jail.
