UPDATE: Jury selected for Lang trial

MADISON (WKOW) -- A jury has been seated in the trial of a man accused of coming to Madison to kill abortion doctors.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports that a jury of nine women and five men were picked Tuesday to hear Ralph Lang's trial.

The 65-year-old Lang is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

Lang was arrested in Madison in May of 2011 when his gun accidentally fired in his motel room. Prosecutors say Lang was in town to shoot doctors at the Planned Parenthood clinic.

Lang also faces a federal charge of attempting to injure people participating in a federally funded program. His attorneys argue that charge should be tossed because the federal funds Planned Parenthood receives can't be used for abortions.
