Sauk County standoff ends with man in custody

PRAIRIE DU SAC (WKOW) -- Sauk Prairie Police tell 27 News a 48-year-old man is in custody following a Wednesday morning standoff in Prairie Du Sac.

Police say officers responded around 8:30 a.m. to a domestic call of a man destroying property at a home on the 400 block of Broadway. The officers tried to make contact with anyone inside and when they eventually went in, found evidence of damaged property and evidence that the man, Michael Glynn, might be injured.

Police say Glynn barricaded himself in the home's basement, prompting police to try and negotiate for a couple of hours before the Sauk County Emergency Response Team went into the basement and got him out.

Glynn is in the Sauk County Jail on a probation hold, as well as preliminary charges of Disorderly Conduct-Domestic Violence Related, Criminal Damage to Property-Domestic Violence Related and False Imprisonment.
