Drug bust in Monona turns up 77 marijuana plants


MONONA (WKOW) -- Police in Monona say officers busted a marijuana growing operation and seized 77 plants.

On Thursday, May 30, officers with the Dane County Drug Task Force, Monona Police Department, Monona Police K-9, Madison Police K-9 and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant at 208 West Dean Avenue in Monona.

Along with the plants, officers seized processed marijuana, drug paraphernalia and multiple firearms.

Police arrested 36-year-old Michael Mackesey on tentative charges of maintaining a drug house, possession of THC with intent to deliver and manufacturing THC.
