Runners take part in Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

MADISON (WKOW) -- About 10,000 runners participated in the 16th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Madison Saturday.

The race supports life-saving breast health programs in south central Wisconsin.

Those who participated say they do it to celebrate survivors and remember lives lost to breast cancer.

"I have a very good friend at work that right now is still struggling with breast cancer and I know someone who is in remission. it's been an inspiration to watch them go through it," said runner Lori Snapp.
