MADISON (WKOW) -- Gov. Scott Walker and state Republican leaders are nearing a deal on the last three big pieces of the state budget.
The compromise is expected to expand voucher schools statewide, cut income taxes by more than $500 million and reject a federal Medicaid expansion, even though taking it would save state money.
Gov. Walker, Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald and Assembly Speaker Robin Vos all say a deal is near.
The Joint Finance Committee is expected to approve the deal on Tuesday.
