LA CROSSE (WKOW) -- A man wanted for murder in La Crosse is caught in Madison.

State agents arrested Mitrel Anderson, 25, Monday in Madison after tracking him down through cell phone records. Agents also arrested a woman in Madison for aiding and abetting a felon.

Police say Demario Lee, 24, was killed during a fight at a La Crosse Kwik Trip early Sunday. The two men had apparently got into a fight earlier that night, but police don't know yet what the fight was about, according to WXOW-TV.

Police tell WXOW-TV Anderson killed Lee by stabbing him in the back of his head with an "edged weapon." Lee died at a local hospital. Chief Ron Tischer with the La Crosse Police Department says, "This homicide was between known associates. Although at this time the exact motive of the homicide is still under investigation, all parties involved were very well known to law enforcement."

Lee's mother, Brandy Williams, says her son was from Rockford, Illinois but was visiting her in La Crosse. She says her son went to some downtown bars with friends Saturday night, then to the Kwik Trip to get a snack afterward.

Williams describes her son as a big, muscular guy with a heart at least as big as he was. Lee was her only son and leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter and an unborn son. "She was his twin," Williams tells WXOW, talking about Lee's daughter. "She looks just like him. He loved his sisters. He spoiled his sisters. He always tells them 'You're going to be something.'"
