Suspect claims he had bomb while robbing Madison bank

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are searching for a man who robbed an Associated Bank Monday afternoon.

It happened just after 3:00 p.m. at the Associated Bank at 574 West Broadway. The man demanded money and said he had a bomb in a bag on his chest. The suspect left with some money. Police tried to track him down with a K-9, but lost him near Weber Drive and Wild Oak Circle.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build. He was about 5'9"-5'10" and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with the word "Cubs" in red. He was also wearing a red and white cloth over his face.
