Juveniles faces charges after video of gang initiation beating posted to Facebook

WAUSAU (WKOW) -- A group of juveniles face charges in Marathon County after a gang initiation beating was posted on Facebook.

Everest Metro police say the video shows a 16-year-old boy letting other teenagers beat him. Investigators say he was trying to join their gang. Police Captain Clay Schulz says the group is not affiliated with any known major gang, though.

Daily Herald Media reports three boys, ages 14 to 16, have been referred to the Marathon County Juvenile Court Services. A 14-year-old girl was also referred. A 19-year-old man who police think filmed the beating, could be charged later this week.
