2013 Parade of Homes starts on Saturday

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Builder's Association hosts the 2013 Parade of Homes.

It's one of the biggest events in Madison every year and has been going on for over 60 years.

This year is especially exciting because there are unique features in the homes. Some homes feature an entertainment focus with pools, televisions, hot tubs and surround-sound inside and outside.

There are also homes that are complete handicapped accessible with no steps. There are wide halls and doors and a parachute living room ceiling.

The technology home features cutting-edge and savvy features. There is a home that you can control through touch pads, smart phones, cameras and sensors. The technology home allows you to access using a remote to check your house while you're away.

The 2013 Parade of Homes runs from June 8 to June 23. You can tour the homes Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
