Milwaukee bar to hold party to put bras on ceiling

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) – A historic bar in Milwaukee is holding a party to hang dozens of bras on its ceiling after being forced to take them down.

A city inspector in April ordered Holler House owner, Marcy Skowronski, to take the bras down because they were a fire hazard.

The 87-year-old great-grandmother started the tradition with some of her friends about 45 years ago.

Skowronski contacted the media and the alderman last month and the city backed down.

She expects a full house Friday night for the party.

The bar opened in 1908. It's also known for its two downstairs bowling alleys, which are the oldest certified in America according to its sign.
