"We will continue to work on this issue until we are consistently reaching 100 percent compliance every single time we conduct alcohol age compliance checks. We need to reduce youth access to alcohol and make sure we don't have a senseless tragedy."

These ongoing alcohol age compliance checks are part of cooperative effort with Barron County Safe and Stable Families Coalition and serve as only one part of our alcohol awareness campaign. We continue to educate parents and youth on alcohol trends, continue to put extra patrol cars on to reduce underage parties and OWI enforcement and conduct walk-thru's of local establishments looking for underage person in place of sale that may be being served by people over 21 that is not a parent.
