Sentence handed down to man for ramming a squad car

POLK COUNTY (WQOW) - A Polk County man is going to prison for ramming a squad car with his pickup truck.

Michael Chamandy, from Luck, was sentenced Monday to five years behind bars.

It was three years ago that deputies pulled him over, but say he then accelerated and hit the squad car.

He was convicted of endangering safety and 5th offense drunk driving. Chamandy was also ordered to pay restitution of 30 thousand dollars.
