Dane Co. deputies find missing man from Iowa


MAZOMANIE (WKOW) -- A man reported missing in Iowa is back with family after being found in Dane County.

A passerby reported seeing a man who looked confused and was standing in the roadway at Highway 14 and Mahocker Road in Mazomanie.

When deputies arrived, they determined the man was 85-year-old Casper Robinson of Anamosa, Iowa. Officers say Robinson appeared to be confused and did not know where he was.

Deputies found out Robinson was listed as a missing person through the Jones County Sheriff's Department in Iowa. Family members say Robinson was last seen Monday, June 10 at 5:45 p.m., when he left a family member's house in his vehicle to return to his home, which was only a short distance away.

Deputies remained with Robinson for several hours until family members from Iowa came to bring him home.
