NFL changes affect Packers fans

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- The NFL made a number of updates to its security policy Thursday which will change what you can bring in to your next Packers game.

You'll be able to carry a clutch the size of a hand; clear, plastic or vinyl handbags that are no larger than 12 inches, by 6 inches by 12 inches.

And, one-gallon freezer size bags are allowed.

Among the items no longer permitted are large purses, backpacks, fanny packs and seat cushions.

The NFL is concerned the seat covers and large bags could be used to hide an explosive device.

The Packers will meet with Green Bay police next week to discuss ways to implement the new policy and how to educate fans.

The new restrictions will be implemented al all NFL stadiums beginning with preseason games this summer.
