Mondovi woman sentenced to federal prison for selling drugs

Eau Claire (WQOW) - An area woman is sentenced to time in federal prison for selling crack cocaine.

Prosecutors say Rachel Knowles of Mondovi sold crack in Dunn and Eau Claire counties.  Investigators say Knowles traveled to Illinois and Minneapolis to buy drugs to re-sell here. She was sentenced this week to one year in federal prison.

A warrant has also been issued for the arrest of her daughter, Briana Carey, who is also charged with selling crack.
