Justices to hear challenge to WI domestic partner law

MADISON (WKOW) -- Justices on the state Supreme Court will determine whether Wisconsin's domestic partnership law violates the state's constitution.

The law, which took effect in 2009, offers same-sex partners some of the same rights as married couples.

Members of the conservative group Wisconsin Family Action filed a lawsuit claiming the registry violates the state constitution's ban on gay marriage.
