Menomonie gets grant to demolish former Leever's grocery store

Menomonie (WQOW) - A local city gets several hundred thousand dollars to make room for a new housing development.

The city of Menomonie received a $230,000 community development block grant for demolition of the former Leever's grocery store. Plans call for a four-story building with 54 apartments, nine townhouses and retail space. Construction on the $12 million to $15 million project could start soon.
