Man police killed had criminal history

WALWORTH COUNTY (WKOW) -- We're getting more details about the history of a man killed in an officer-involved shooting in Walworth County.

Court records show 39-year-old Jeremiah Krubert had a history of run-ins with the law.

In 2002, police arrested him after an outburst in an emergency room, when his mother brought him there for a psychiatric evaluation.

In 2004, Krubert was arrested after officers found him naked in the street.

Later that same year, he was arrested for battery after a man and his son say Krubert, a man they didn't know, came over to them and began beating the father.

Deputies shot and killed Krubert Thursday morning when they say he stole a deputy's squad car, and then would not drop his weapon after crashing the vehicle.
