Suspect impersonates police officer in Green Lake Co.

GREEN LAKE COUNTY (WKOW) -- Authorities are looking for a man believed to have been posing as a police officer.

A Green Lake Sheriff's Office report says a man wearing a dark uniform pulled over a victim about four miles west of the city of Berlin on Wednesday night.

The witness told officials the man was wearing a uniform, a duty belt with a holster and a badge but no name tag. The man was also driving a black Ford Crown Victoria with "Police" written on the side and "911" written on the back end of the car. The vehicle had red and blue lights on the inside dashboard.

The victim says the man gave out a warning and followed him more than 20 miles east to Oshkosh, before turning around and heading back west towards Berlin.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male with short black hair, possibly a wig, and a black moustache. He's believed to be about 6 feet tall, weighing around 180 pounds.
