Donald Driver's annual softball game

APPLETON (WKOW) -- A record crowd turned out this Father's Day for an annual fundraiser with the Packers.

Former Packer Donald Driver hosted his 6th annual softball game in Appleton on Sunday. More than 9,000 fans showed up to watch the former wide receiver and about 20 other current and former Green Bay Packers players participate.

The event supports the Donald Driver Foundation, which raises money for a number of charities in Wisconsin: Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Special Olympics Wisconsin, Blessings in a Backpack, which helps Wisconsin schools, the Greater Green Bay YMCA, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay.

"It's an honor to be able to help so many deserving organizations," said Donald Driver, "but none of it would be possible without the support of the fans and all of my Packer teammates who were out here with me today."
This year the event raised a total of nearly $114,000 for those charities.
