Waunakee man identified as one of the two killed in plane crash Saturday


ASHLAND (WKOW) --- Ashland County officials say 58-year-old Bruce Renwick of Waunakee was killed in a single engine plane crash Saturday night.

The other passenger killed, is his brother 63-year-old Dr. Richard Renwick of La Crosse.

Richard was a physician in obstetrics and gynecology at Gunderson Health System.

Officials say the Piper Comanche went down, south of the runway Saturday and started on fire.

Witnesses say the plan was trying to land when they aborted the landing and turned to make a second approach before crashing.
