Janesville police make arson arrests

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Janesville Police say two people have been arrested on arson-related charges for a fire that happened Tuesday.

Police say authorities responded to 1548 Swallow Lane in Janesville and discovered a trailer house on fire. They were able to extinguish the blaze and an investigation followed.

Police say they were able to determine the previous and current owner of the home had planned the arson because of physical evidence and witness statements.

According to a news release from Janesville Police, current owner 26-year-old Whitney L. Stricklin was arrested for being party to the crime of arson of a building. Former owner, 51-year-old David G. Pacheco was arrested for arson of a building.

Police say both are being held at the Rock County Jail.
