Friends of Paul Heenan file complaint against Heimsness

MADISON (WKOW) -- Friends of local musician Paul Heenan say they will file a complaint against the Madison police officer who shot and killed Heenan.

Nathan Royko Maurer says the complaint against Officer Stephen Heimsness will be filed with the Madison Police and Fire Commission. Heenan's friends want Heimsness removed from duty.

Heimsness shot and killed Heenan November 9, 2012 after a confrontation at a home on S. Baldwin Street.

The Madison Police Department and Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne each determined Heimsness' actions were justified.
