WIAA Board Of Control Adopts Winter Sports Changes

Stevens Point (WQOW) -- The WIAA Board of Control approves a number of recommendations made by winter sports coaches.

Among those changes is an adoption of a "mercy rule" in basketball, implementing a running clock (except for timeouts) after three quarters if there's a point differential of forty or more.

Another change: three-person officiating crews will be used for all postseason basketball games.   And, in Division 1, all sectional games will be played at neutral sites.
