Police take down firefighters in Charity Heroes Challenge

MADISON (WKOW) -- Law Enforcement Appreciation Night at the Duck Pond kicked off with a special tribute Sunday afternoon.

Area law enforcement officers and firefighters went head-to-head for the Charity Heroes Challenge. The softball game, hosted by the Madison Mallards, took place before the Mallards game on Sunday.

Proceeds from the charity game go to Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center in Madison.

27 News anchor Amber Noggle served as celebrity coach for the police team. They took on NBC15 anchor Christine Bellport's firefighter team, and the police prevailed.
