Domestic abuse incident leads to a stabbing in Bloomfield


BLOOMFIELD (WKOW) -- Bloomfield Police Department says that around 9:45 p.m. on June 23rd, they responded to a report of a stabbing on West Lakeshore Drive in Bloomfield.  They believe the stabbing happened during a domestic abuse incident.

A 39-year-old man had a single stab wound on his back.  He was originally transported by ambulance, but then flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

He is in critical, but stable condition.

A 41-year-old woman was transported to Lakeland Medical Center by ambulance.  Her injuries are not life threatening.  After receiving medical clearance, the female was confined in Walworth County Jail.

Charges of recklessly endangering safety with a dangerous weapon, aggravated battery, and disorderly conduct on the woman, as well as charges of battery, disorderly conduct, and strangulation/suffocation on the man are being forwarded to the Walworth County District Attorney's office for review.
