Beloit police looking for suspects in metal theft

BELOIT (WKOW) --- Beloit Police Department is looking for two suspects reported to have stolen industrial metal over the weekend.

H & B Specialty Foods says the suspects stole a barrel with more than 500 pounds of scrap copper wiring and aluminum pipe.

The thefts occurred Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and again on Monday at 5 a.m.

One of the suspects is described to be in his forties, 200 pounds, and shaggy sandy hair.

The other suspect is in his teens with should length blonde hair.

They were driving an older dark green Dodge pickup truck.

If you have information, please call Beloit Police at (608) 364-6831.

To prevent thefts, police advise you lock up scrap metals and spray valuable ones pink so they are identifiable when given to scrap dealers.
