Eau Claire (WQOW) -- For the first time in 25 games, the Eau Claire Express will finally take a day off.
The team says the break comes at a good time. Without much of its roster to start the season, the Express mustered just an 8-17 record. Eau Claire says it will use its short break to refocus and heal up some nagging injuries.
"A lot of guys came straight out of playing for their college team," says first baseman Chane Lynch. "You know, we're playing every day, the body is wearing down a little bit, and just to regroup and your body to recover, that's big for us."
Eau Claire is back at Carson Park on Tuesday to begin a two game series with first-place Lakeshore.
