MADISON (WKOW)-- A poll testing the potential candidacy of Mary Burke against Republican Gov. Scott Walker has drawn a complaint from the Republican Party of Wisconsin.

The complaint claims the June 13 telephone poll asked about Burke and the person conducting the poll refused to disclose who was paying for it.

Wisconsin Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate says his party is conducting a number of research surveys and nothing about the call was improper.

Burke is a member of the Madison school district board. She's also a former secretary of the state Department of Commerce under Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle and former executive at Trek.

She has not publicly said whether she is interested in running for governor.
