UPDATE: Authorities release name of man killed in Dunn Co. crash

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Thick fog Wednesday morning may have contributed to a number of crashes, including a fatal one on I-94.

The State Patrol says 67-year-old Gary Fritz, from Hortonville, was killed, and his wife Donna was injured after rolling their car. It happened around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning on the on-ramp from Highway 29 to I-94.

The State Patrol says the driver missed the curve, lost controlled, and rolled.

The DOT says there were two other crashes on I-94 Wednesday morning that both resulted in minor injuries. The fog could have been a factor in those crashes as well.
