Abundant Life HS part of 8-player All Star game

MADISON (WKOW) -- Full contact practices in high school football don't start until the first Monday in August, but the pads have been cracking all week Abundant Life High School. Abundant Life football coach Mark Martinez is coaching the South squad in the inaugural 8-player football All Star game, which kicks off on Saturday at 1pm in Rice Lake. Alex Pien and Dylan Rockwell, two 2013 grads of Abundant Life, are also on the South team.

There are currently 22 schools that participate in 8-player football in the state of Wisconsin, mainly because they don't have enough players to support a full-squad. The sport is sanctioned by the WIAA, but needs to add 10 more schools to justify adding a postseason. For more, click on the video link.
