Madison beaches close because of water quality

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison's beaches have some trouble.

Six of them were closed Thursday because of high levels of bacteria.

That includes Esther, James Madison, Lake Mendota County Park, Olin, Spring Harbor and Tenney.

Public Health Madison and Dane County monitors the beaches daily, so some of them could reopen Friday.
