Cooking ribs for the July 4 weekend

MADISON (WKOW) -- July 4th weekend is just around the corner and you may need some food advice on what to bring to see family and friends.

If you're heading to a barbeque, you may want to bring ribs.

Dan Scher from GFS Marketplace and Chef Nick Donovan join Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend to teach us how to master rib making.

Here's the recipe for BBQ Ribs:

For BBQ Ribs
1 cup of paprika
½ cup of kosher salt
1tbsp cumin
1tsp of thyme
1tsp of tarragon
½ tbsp of cinnamon
1tbsp of mild chili powder
1tbsp of garlic powder
 
Take your ribs and make sure they are nice and dry.
Take rub and rub into your ribs. Add oil as you rub to add a little moisture.
Let your ribs rest for about 2 hours and then grill or bake.
