WI lawmaker cleared to return to work after cancer scare

MADISON (WKOW) -- Rep. Tom Larson says he's been medically cleared to return to work after he had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.

The Chippewa Herald reports says the Republican, from Dunn County's town of Colfax, learned of a tumor on his kidney a month ago. Larson had surgery earlier this month to remove the tumor and kidney.
This weekend, Larson says the surgery removed the cancer and he won't undergo radiation or chemotherapy. He says his doctor has cleared him to work after the 4th of July. Larson says he wishes he was able to participate in the budget debate.
