WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- The Obama Administration will delay for a year a provision of the Affordable Care Act that requires businesses to provide health insurance to their employees.
The delay was announced Tuesday by the U.S. Treasury Department.
It means that employers with more than 50 employees will not be penalized for failing to provide health insurance for their workers until 2015.
Officials say they heard concerns about the complexity of the requirements and the need for more time to implement them effectively.
