Bikers help raise funds to honor 3 slain sisters

RIVER FALLS (WKOW) – Motorcyclists in western Wisconsin are planning a 100-mile ride to raise money for a playground to honor three sisters who were killed by their father last July.

A jury ruled that 35-year-old Aaron Schaffhausen was sane when he killed 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie and 5-year-old Cecilia in their home.

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the "River Falls Cruisin for a Cause" motorcycle run will start in River Falls on July 20 and stop at several venues in western Wisconsin.  The ride will end with a poker game at Johnnie's Bar in River Falls.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Schaffhausen Memorial Fund and a new playground to honor the sisters.

The event costs $10 for a bike and rider, $5 per passenger and $5 for each poker hand. +
