Handyman handed fine by DNR

EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - A handyman-for-hire is caught red-handed by DNR wardens.

The DNR says an Eau Claire resident found that someone had dumped a truckload of shingles on his land. Wardens found debris in the shingles that led them to handyman Danny Frandsen.

He had been hired to remove the shingles from a building at a nearby trailer park. The DNR says Frandsen was able to keep his bid low by not charging for disposal costs, but he ended up paying a $200 fine for illegal dumping.

Incidentally, the DNR says the motto for Frandsen's business is "cheaper is better."
