Home where 3 sisters were killed goes up for auction

RIVER FALLS (WKOW) -- The home where three sisters were killed by their father last year will go up for auction next month.

Aaron Schaffhausen's River Falls home went into foreclosure following his arrest. He stopped making payments and owed $181,000 on the house through January, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The St. Croix Sheriff's Office says it'll go up for auction on August 13.

Schaffhausen told authorities that he killed his three young daughters. They were 11, 8 and 5 years old. Jurors decided that Schauffhausen knew what he did was wrong, even though he suffered from mental defect at the time of the murders.

He's scheduled for a sentencing on July 15.
