UPDATE: Name released of 9-year-old killed in UTV accident


GRATIOT TOWNSHIP (WKOW) -- Lafayette County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the young boy who died in a UTV accident.

9-year-old Drew Holland died on July 6th.  He was a passenger in the UTV when the accident happened.

The accident is still under investigation.


GRATIOT TOWNSHIP (WKOW) -- The Lafayette County Sheriff's Office says a 9-year-old boy was killed after he was partially thrown from a Utility Terrain Vehicle Saturday. 

Their investigation shows that four people were riding the UTV on private property when they hit a pile of hay in a field and the UTV flipped over.

Authorities say the 9-year-old was partially thrown from the UTV and taken to the Monroe Clinic ER, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The boy's name will be released after family members have been notified about the accident.
