Jessepalooza event in honor of teen who died from diabetes

MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- The fourth annual Jessepalooza event takes place on Sunday.

It's to honor Jesse Alswager, who passed away unexpectedly in 2010 from Type-1 diabetes. Jesse lived his life and inspired everyone to kick back and have some fun!

The event will raise money to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Diabetes Research Institute.

Jesse was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes at the age of three. He was just three weeks shy of having Type-1 diabetes for 10 years before he died.

The event features bands, live animals programs and a children's area with bouncy houses. It runs from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday at Capital Brewery in Middleton.

WKOW's Bob Lindmeier will co-emcee the event. If you attend, you have the chance to win the opportunity to golf with Bob.
