MADISON (WKOW) -- A judge today agreed to release Joshua Drabek on a signature bond.
Drabek's attorney, Ronald Gabriel Benavides, told 27 News the bond was granted after Drabek pleaded guilty to a count of Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child. Four other charges were dismissed in this case, which is unrelated to the high-profile case involving Drabek's step-sister, in which he is also charged.
Drabek is set to face trial on February 17, 2013 in the case involving his step-sister, known in court documents as SLC. He's accused of sexually assaulting the girl, who prosecutors say was locked in a basement and starved by her parents.
Drabek is still under extended supervision by the State Department of Corrections in a third case involving sexual assault of a child, and Benavides says the presence of that supervision played a role in the decision to release Drabek on bond.
