CLARK COUNTY (WAOW) - The Clark County Sheriff's Department says most of a man's arm was severed after a dump truck crash Friday.

The crash happened on County Highway H near County Highway Y in Chili.

Sheriff's officials say 54-year-old Joseph Serafin of Neillsville crossed the centerline and sideswiped an eastbound dump truck.

According to the sheriff's department, Serafin had his left arm outside his vehicle when he sideswiped the truck, causing most of his left arm to be severed at the scene.

Authorities say Serafin was taken to Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital.

The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.
