New motorcycle simulation gets a big thumbs up

Barron County (WQOW)- A new exhibit at farm technology days has been drawing rave reviews.

For the first time, people can go through a motorcycle safety simulation.  The Wisconsin Department of Transportation started the program, which allows both beginning riders and experts a chance to improve their skills on the bike.

"You can actually put yourself in traffic situations where there are the different hazards, whether it's a car turning in front of you or a pedestrian walking across the street," explains Perry Kingsbury with the Wisconsin DOT.  "So it's just a great tool."

Wisconsin Farm Technology Days runs through Thursday at the Breezy Hill Dairy in Dallas.
