Madison police arrest a man for exposure

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police arrested a man over the weekend for exposing himself at James Madison Park.

The police report says officers responded to the park at 614 Gorham Street around 5:45 p.m. Saturday.

Two women, ages 21 and 25, told police a man was staring at sun bathers while engaged in behavior that disturbed them.

The man, 42-year-old Marvin Thomas, told officers he routinely keeps his zipper down, but denied doing anything inappropriate.

Thomas was arrested for Lewd & Lascivious Behavior and cited for Possess/Consume Open Intoxicants on a Public Street. Officers reported he had an open bottle of alcohol in one of his pockets.
