Heat doesn't scare music lovers away from Concerts on the Square

MADISON (WKOW)-- Most people around Madison don't seem to be letting the heat and humidity trap them indoors. Despite the temperatures, attendance was still high for the Concerts on the Square in downtown Madison Wednesday night.

"It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it's hot," Karen Burdick says.

Cold drinks were in high demand and many people flocked to the shade.

"It's very hot, very very hot, but it's okay. It's worth it," Maria Sierra says. "It's Elton John music so it's going to be really good."

Some concert-goers brought their own electric fans, while others bought some from the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra for a few dollars.

The next Concert on the Square will be held July 24th. The show is titled "Ah Amour!" and features the talent of local high school and middle school musicians.
