GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Football season is getting closer, and in Green Bay, Lambeau Field's South Endzone is ready to go.

The Packers celebrated the completion of the multi-million dollar expansion on Thursday by holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The renovation included 7,000 new seats, as well was a giant Jumbotron.

"We're providing really unique seating and viewing options, unlike anything else we have in the stadium now," Mark Murphy, Packers president and CEO, said. "And I think it's going to be very well received by the fans."

The expansion is expected to generate a lot of revenue for Lambeau Field. 30 new concession stands have also been added.

After the ceremony on Thursday, new season-ticket holders got a chance to check out their new seats as a part of the "Meet Your Seat" event.
