Rock Fest celebrates 20th year

Posted:

Cadott (WQOW) - This year rock music fans are celebrating music and the 20th annual Rock Fest in Cadott.

The very first fest in 1994 was actually called Shake, Rattle, and Rock. Organizers say it has evolved from a classic rock music festival to more of a mixture of active and classic rock. Many fest-goers WQOW News 18 talked to say the music isn't the only thing they love about fest.

Sam Stilb, who's been attending fest for nine years, says, "The environment, the people, I know everybody in this little area over here, I can go to any campsite and just know people and have fun."

"Meeting the people we've met, you know people who have been here 10, 20 years, since the beginning, telling us about it, I would already say it's been worth it. A fun time already," says Keifer Martin who drove from Missouri for Rock Fest.

Rock Fest goes until Sunday and you can still buy tickets at the gates. Korn, Kiss and Motley Crue are just a few of this year's headliners.
